NIGHT PRAYERS
PRAYER AFTER WORK
I thank you, Lord God, for permitting me to complete today’s work and for helping me with your grace. I ask you to forgive all my infidelity and neglect. Accept this offering as a gift of my love and as penance for my sins.
Most Holy Mother, give this work to the Most Sacred Heart of your Divine Son, so that He may purify, perfect, and reward it. Amen.
V/ Most Sacred Heart of Jesus,
R/ Have mercy on us.
PRAYER BEFORE REST
V/ Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
R/ As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.
May infinite glory and praise, love and thanksgiving be yours, O Sacred Heart, in the Most Blessed Sacrament on all the altars of the whole world until the end of time.
I kneel before you with humility, O Lord, and bow before you most profoundly. Thank you for all your graces and benefits of the Immaculate Virgin, I offer you all my works of this day and the following night.
Our Father
Our Father, Who art in Heaven,
hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed are thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Apostle’s Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I give you my heart and my soul. Patron Saints of the Congregation, I commend to you myself, all the Sisters, our relatives and friends, our entire nation and the Holy Church.
Angel of God, my Guardian, enlighten me, protect me, govern and direct me, entrust to you by the goodness of God.
Amen.
PRAYER FOR OUR COUNTRY
Blessed Mother Mary, we turn to you in prayer for all the people in the United States. We again place ourselves in your care, in the gentle hands that cradled the Child Jesus.
We ask you to make us more alive in your faith, more generous in your love, more trusting in your hope. Teach us to imitate Jesus, as you did, and always to follow Him with your courage.
Mother Mary, help us to become a people who hunger for justice and who burn with compassion for those who suffer in our midst. Make us a people who cherish and defend the dignity of every human person. Free us from all selfishness and self-interest, that we truly might be the builders of the Kingdom of God.
Immaculate Mary, help us to stand among the family of nations as a people of compassion, generosity, and peace. Make us a people of vision and courage, who will gift this world with new life, new hope, and the unity for which your Son died.
O Mary Immaculate, Queen of the Americas, pray for us.
