I believe in God, the Father Almighty, 
Creator of heaven and earth, 
and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, 
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, 
born of the Virgin Mary, 
suffered under Pontius Pilate, 
was crucified, died and was buried; 
He descended into hell; 
on the third day He rose again from the dead; 
He ascended into heaven, 
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; 
from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, 
the Holy Catholic Church, 
the communion of Saints, 
the forgiveness of sins, 
the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.

Our Father
Our Father, Who art in Heaven, 
hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come, 
Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. 
Give us this day our daily bread; 
and forgive us our trespasses 
as we forgive those who trespass against us;

PRAYERS TO ST. JOSEPH
TO YOU, BLESSED JOSEPH, we go in our difficulties, and while asking for the help of your most holy Spouse, our Blessed Lady, we confidently invoke your patronage also. With the same love which united you to the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God, and by the fatherly affection which you showed to the Child Jesus, we humbly ask you to remember that you are united to us by the glorious new life which Jesus shares with us through His Death and Resurrection and to help us in our need by your powerful intercession.
O most provident guardian of the Holy Family, protect us, the brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ; help us keep ourselves from falling into error and ways which are contrary to love for Jesus; united to us as you are in the communion of saints, assist us, O most powerful protector, in our struggle with the powers of darkness, and as once you rescued the Child Jesus from an attack against His life, so now defend the Mystical Body of Christ from those who try to divide and destroy Christ in His Holy People.
Shield each one of us with your unceasing patronage, that by imitating your example, and supported by your aid, we may be enabled to live a good life, die a holy death, and come to everlasting happiness in the presence of God. Amen.

ST. JOSEPH, OUR GLORIOUS FATHER, and gracious Advocate before God, we call upon you with deepest reverence, and we ask you to watch over us during our life and at the hour of our death. 
You freely gave yourself to God’s holy will, surrendering yourself completely to Him as a gift, and elevating your human vocation of paternal love to a devoted affection in the service of Christ and His redeeming mission. Help us to imitate you in our religious vocation, in our dedication to the Sacred Heart, and in our service to the needy. 
Through an angel, the Holy Spirit revealed to you the mystery of the Incarnation of the Son of God. Intercede for us, so that the Holy Spirit would enlighten us with His grace and would teach us to faithfully cooperate with Him.  Lead us to the poverty of the Bethlehem grotto and the Savior’s manger, which reveals to us the authentic treasure of a humble and poor life. 
Inspire in us a desire for a fervent spiritual life.  Obtain for us a spirit of prayer, devotion and faithfulness to the grace of our religious vocation. Help us to acquire those virtues proper to the religious state, and preserve us from faintheartedness, routine, laziness, and the avoidance of inconvenience.  Help us to imitate you in your chastity, in your humility and in your obedience to the Heavenly Father. 
May all religious families, and all religious congregations be in your care.  Defend them from both visible and hidden adversaries, especially from attacks by the Evil One.  Amen.
