Some Sisters of our Congregation worked tirelessly in hidden, consecrated service in the episcopal residence and curia in Krakow and later went to serve in the papal household and offices of St. John Paul II. Sisters of our Congregation were present at the Pope's deathbed.
Here is an article that was published after St. John Paul II's death about our Sisters in the papal service of this Pope. Our Sisters and St. John Paul II
CENTENARY OF THE BIRTH OF ST. JOHN PAUL II (And the 17th Anniversary of Pope John Paul's II Canonization of our Father Founder, St. Joseph Sebastian Pelczar) May 18, 1920-MAY 18, 2020
On May 18, 1920, Karol Jozef Wojtyla was born in Wadowice, Poland to the Servant of God Karol Wojtyla, Sr. and the Servant of God Emilia (Kaczorowska) Wojtyla.
Karol went on to become the great St. John Paul II, a father and friend to our Sisters and now one of our Patron Saints, our model of ardor in announcing the good news of God's merciful love for man.
The Sister Servants of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus rejoice in the Centenary of St. John Paul II's birth and in all God has accomplished through him!
VIDEOS ON FORMED If you have access to a parish providing this program, FORMED has wonderful videos on St. John Paul II"s life and message. Highly recommended is the Fr. "The Papal Five" as they are affectionately dubbed in our Congregation, were those Sisters called from the Krakow Curia to serve in hidden and sacrificial service in the papal household of St. John Paul II.
